Summer Adventure Camps
Ages 8–14
Canyon Ski Resort’s Premium Summer Day Camps offer full-day, outdoor adventure experiences for kids and teens who love to move, explore, and challenge themselves.
Inspired by our winter trail-rating system, camps are organized into Green, Blue, and Black Levels, allowing campers to grow in confidence and ability while enjoying Canyon’s full Summer Adventure environment.
At Canyon, we believe that meaningful growth happens when youth are given opportunities to safely step outside their comfort zones. Our camps are built around progressive challenge, thoughtful supervision, and flexibility based on each camper’s readiness.

All camp levels share access to the same core adventure offerings. The difference between levels is pace, independence, and intensity of challenge, guided by trained staff in a safe, supportive setting. Campers are encouraged to progress throughout the week at their own comfort level and are never forced into activities they are not ready for.
How the Level System Works
Canyon’s level system is designed to be flexible rather than restrictive.
While camps are grouped by recommended ages, staff continuously assess each camper’s comfort, confidence, and readiness. Campers who are ready for more challenge are encouraged to push themselves, while those who need more time are supported without pressure.
This approach ensures campers are never held back unnecessarily while maintaining strong supervision and safety standards.
Adventure Experiences
All camp levels have access to Canyon’s Summer Adventure environment. Activities may include the following and are dependent on program availability and weather:
- Aerial Adventure Park
- Zipline
- Net Park
- Summer Tubing and Tube Slides
- Mountain Coaster
- Archery
- Canoeing
- Water-based games and activities
- Creative time including arts and crafts
Activity selection, sequencing, and intensity vary daily based on group readiness, weather, and conditions to ensure a safe, engaging experience for all campers.
Camps run in weekly sessions, with each week dedicated to a specific camp level.
Throughout the summer, Canyon offers:
- 2 Green Level camp weeks
- 3 Blue Level camp weeks
- 2 Black Level camp weeks
Each camp week runs as a complete program. Campers remain with the same group throughout the week, allowing them to build confidence, friendships, and familiarity with staff.
Campers may attend multiple weeks, and many returning campers benefit from increased confidence and progression over time.

Summer Adventure Camps – Green Level
Ages 8–10
Green Level camps focus on exploration, confidence-building, and fun.
Campers are introduced to Canyon’s adventure environment in a supportive and encouraging setting, helping them build comfort with movement, height, and new experiences. Activities are guided closely by staff, with opportunities for campers to challenge themselves as confidence grows.
Green Level is ideal for younger campers or those new to adventure-based programming.

Summer Adventure Camps – Blue Level
Ages 10–12
Blue Level camps are designed for campers ready for longer activity blocks, increased independence, and greater physical and mental challenge.
Campers continue to experience Canyon’s full adventure environment, with staff encouraging skill development, problem-solving, and self-confidence. This level offers a balance of structure and freedom and is a great fit for returning campers or those eager to progress.

Summer Adventure Camps – Black Level
Ages 12–14
Black Level camps are built for older youth seeking a more challenging and independent camp experience. Campers are encouraged to take greater ownership of their experience, develop leadership skills, and engage with higher-challenge elements while still benefiting from structured supervision and coaching.
Black Level helps keep teens active, engaged, and excited to return to camp.
