Ladies Snowboard Program (18+)

Looking for a fun and social way to build your confidence on the slopes this winter? Join our Ladies Snowboard Program — a relaxed and supportive evening program designed for women who want to improve their riding skills while enjoying great company. Each night includes on-snow lessons followed by appetizers in the Canyon Lounge!

The program finishes with a bonus trip to Lake Louise where under instructors guidance you can take your newly sharpened skills to the mountains!

Required Experience
This program is open to beginner to intermediate snowboarders. Participants should be comfortable on beginner terrain and able to ride the chairlift independently.

What the Program Includes:

  • 4x 2-Hour lessons on Friday Evenings at Canyon Ski Resort (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
  • Small class sizes (4–6 students per instructor)
  • Après-ski appetizers in the Canyon Lounge after lessons
  • Bonus lesson at Lake Louise on Sunday, February 8
    (must arrange own transportation, lift tickets, rentals and meals)


Cost
Lesson Only: $200
Lesson + Canyon Lift Tickets: $300
Rental Add-On (for Canyon sessions only): $80
(Does not include Lake Louise rentals.)

Minimum 4 participants required to run the program.

Fun Race!

Canyon’s Snow School programs are coming to an end soon and Canyon is hosting a FUN RACE alongside our Ski Clubs (Red Deer Alpine Ski Racing & Central Alberta Freestyle Club)!

 

Who: Any SKIERS aged 6-12 years old are welcome to register, registration closes the night before!
 
 
What: A dual stubbies course will be set up half way up the Blue Tbar so 2 kids kids can race at the same time. Guaranteed at least 2 race runs! Best time wins! Boys and Girls will be separated into age categories ( 6-9 year olds & 10-12 year olds)
 
 
When: SUNDAY MARCH 17th
1-2pm Practice Runs
2-4pm Races & Awards
 
 
Where: Halfway up the Blue T-bar- Children MUST BE able to ride the T-bar independently and PARENTS are welcome to SKI or just watch from the bottom. BUT CHILDREN ARE NOT BEING DIRECTLY SUPERVISED OR ACCOMPANIED BY ANY CANYON STAFF OR SKI CLUB MEMBERS.
 
Registration is on-site at Canyon Ski Resort with $15 race fee due at the time of signing up.
 
 
Ski Club coaches and Canyon Snowschool staff members are present but it is the parents responsibility to ensure the kids are at the Snowschool meeting place ready at 12:45 for Attendance when their name is called at 12:45pm just prior to the practice hour. Please ensure one parent is onsite at all times for this event, we encourage as many parents as possible to be on snow!
 
 
COST $15 a child (Lift ticket is not included and must be purchased separately if not already a multiday or season pass holder). Ribbons and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category! Goody bags for ALL kids registered! The clubs will be onsite to answer any questions and talk about what Ski Clubs can offer your children for NEXT SEASON!

Feb Break Snowboard Camps: 7-13 Years

Sign up for one camp or both to make it a 4-day program!

Designed by CASI certified instructors for riders between 7-13 years old and runs from 10am-4pm.

In the Beginner Camp, instructors will primarily concentrate on developing snowboarding skills while having students participate in interactive drills and fun winter activities.

In the Advanced Camp, the instructors will be progressing campers on the hill to be more confident on intermediate-advanced runs.

The days will include rest periods, a break for lunch and any potentially needed cold weather breaks. Lunch and snacks are not provided.

Participants MUST have prior snowboarding experience. Even the Beginner Feb Break Camp enrollment requires previous introduction/basic knowledge of snowboarding.
