Ski/Snowboard Instructors
Instructors are proud to teach people of all ages in the sports of skiing and snowboarding. You have knowledge about and perform in accordance to the “Alpine Responsibility Code” and Canyon Ski Resort’s policies. You spend the most time with our guests and provide them with first rate lessons. You are dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic with exceptional people skills and a well-developed ability to teach. Creating an encouraging and supportive environment for learners is essential to this position. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to deal with a variety of people. Instructors are 16 years and older.
Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance or Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors certification required, Levels 1 – 4. If you are interested in teaching others, but are not certified — Canyon will be holding Level 1 Certification Courses on site in our early season. Please check CASI, CSIA, and Canyon’s event page for dates and times.

Lift Operators
Lift Operators greet our guests and staff while ensuring their safety as they ride our lifts. Must be outgoing and enjoy working with the public. You report any safety issues immediately. Individuals must be at least 18 years, and mature. This position requires attentive and safety-oriented individuals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to deal with a variety of people. You are willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions for majority of the day. Training is provided.

Pro Patrol
You work directly with the volunteer Ski Patrol and patrol the hill to ensure that all guests are skiing/snowboarding according to the “Alpine Responsibility Code” and Canyon Ski Resort’s policies. The Pro Patrol will be responsible, along with management, to oversee all risk management matters at Canyon. You will be required to respond to any incidents or accidents promptly. EMT or EMR certification is required and intermediate or better skier or boarder. Salary based on experience. This position requires attentive, safety-oriented individuals that pay attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to deal with a variety of people. You are willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions for majority of the day.

Food & Beverage
You work as a team helping operate the kitchen – cashier, cook, kitchen prep, dishwasher, and lounge. You are cool under pressure, and you remain courteous, patient, and tactful in all interactions. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential to deal with a variety of people. You have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment and make responsible decisions quickly. You are detail oriented, possess cash handling experience, and are bond-able. Pro Serve is required for lounge and Food Safety course would be considered an asset.

Food & Beverage Manager
The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for ensuring practice of all health and safety regulations as well as Canyon Ski Resort’s policies. You will organize, direct, and evaluate food and beverage service. You have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment and make responsible decisions quickly. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to deal with a variety of people including staff and guests. You will monitor staff performance and provide feedback. Food ordering, inventory, staff training and scheduling will be included in your responsibilities. Pro Serve is required and Food Safety course would be considered an asset.

Maintenance/Snowmaker
This position requires attentive, safety-oriented individuals. You monitor snow quantity and quality for our guests. You observe carefully and adhere to all Canyon Ski Resort safety, operating and maintenance procedures. You have the capacity to possess mechanical skills for minor repairs on various pieces of equipment at the area. You should be in very good physical shape. You have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment and are able to make responsible decisions quickly. You should be able to work shift work, including overnights. You are willing and able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions for majority of the day.

Guest Services
The Guest Services team continually strives to provide our guests with the ultimate ski/snowboard adventure which includes exceeding our guest’s expectations. You sell area passes, lessons, and provide Canyon Ski Resort information for our guests. You must be outgoing, and able to up sell our products. You are dependable, reliable, and punctual and remain courteous, patient, and tactful in all interactions. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential to deal with a variety of people. You have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment and make responsible decisions quickly. You are detail oriented, possess cash handling experience, and are bond-able.

Rental Shop
Your enthusiasm for snow sports will assist you in outfitting our guests with equipment for an enjoyable experience. You have the capacity to possess technical skills in fitting ski &/or snowboard boots and bindings. You perform tasks safely and efficiently. A certification course must be attended and is given FREE by Canyon Ski Resort. Some tuning and repairing of equipment will be required. You have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment and are able to make responsible decisions quickly. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to deal with a variety of people.
